Ten years ago, a chance encounter brought Rare Corojo
back from obscurity and began a new age for this cigar.
During a factory visit in late 2000, a group of General
Cigar staff members discovered a few empty Rare Corojo
boxes. Intrigued with the find, they inquired about this
mysterious cigar, and the decision was made to re-launch
the line. The Punch Rare Corojo would feature the richest,
oiliest and dark reddish color Ecuadorian Sumatra
upper priming wrapper to impart the most powerful
taste and flavor. These upper primings are obviously
limited, and therefore Rare Corojo was a cigar that could
only be made in limited quantities.
